February 2027 starts on a Monday and has 28 days. Groundhog Day is February 2, World Nutella Day is February 5 and Valentine’s Day falls on Sunday, February 14. There is also a postcard, pizza or small adventure waiting on plenty of less famous dates.

February 5: World Nutella Day

World Nutella Day lands on a Friday in 2027. A small tasting is easier to organize than a full baking project: compare a little spread on toast, a pancake and a piece of fruit. Use an alternative spread if that fits your household better; the idea is to spend time together, not buy a particular product.

February 9: National Pizza Day

National Pizza Day is Tuesday, February 9. Give each person half a pizza to choose toppings for, or make smaller versions using whatever base you already have. Set a shared ingredient budget before shopping. Finish by naming the combinations rather than voting for a winner.

February 13 and 14: Galentine’s Day and Valentine’s Day

Galentine’s Day falls on Saturday, followed by Valentine’s Day on Sunday. That gives friends and couples a whole weekend of possibilities. A breakfast together, a handwritten note or a walk with a planned snack stop can be easier to enjoy than trying to coordinate an elaborate surprise.

Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day falls on February 6, 2027. The informal celebration uses the first Saturday in February, as listed by timeanddate. Make it an optional topping for breakfast, or move the treat to a time that suits you.

Lunar New Year begins on February 6 in the 2027 Chinese calendar. The Hong Kong Observatory’s 2027 conversion table places the first day of the first lunar month on that date. Traditions and public-holiday periods differ by community and country. For an event near you, check the organizer’s own dates rather than assuming every celebration happens on the first day.

Three plans beyond Valentine’s Day

• A long-distance catch-up on February 7. For Send a Card to a Friend Day, write one specific memory on a postcard. If the post will take a while, arrange a short call for the day itself and let the card be a later surprise.
• A pet-centered afternoon on February 20. Love Your Pet Day can mean playing a familiar game or spending unhurried time together. Follow your pet’s routine and preferences; the photo is less important than whether they enjoy the activity.
• A shared story on February 26. On Tell a Fairy Tale Day, start with an ordinary object in the room and take turns adding one sentence. Set a five-minute timer and stop wherever the story ends. This works in person or over a call.

No. February 2027 has 28 days, so there is no February 29 to plan around. The extra day returns in 2028.
